The US Deputy Ambassador to Libya, Joshua Harris, has stressed that the United States is eager to said distribution of oil revenues done fairly and transparently, reaffirming the importance of the role of the House of Representatives (HoR) in resolving the oil closure crisis.
The statement of Harris came via a telephone call on Monday with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Libyan Parliament, “Youssef El-Aqouri,” in which the two officials discussed several issues, especially the issues of Libyan economy.
Al-Aqouri reiterated the position of the House of Representatives and its keenness to return oil production in appreciation of economic conditions, provided that the proceeds are not funded to finance suspicious activities and are distributed fairly among all regions of Libya.
They also reviewed possible options for such measures, while appreciating the role of the United States in supporting the economic dialogue among the conflict parties.
