Reports say Tunisian jihadists have infiltrated into Libya

Tunisian jihadists returned to fight in Libya, according to the director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Rami Abdel Rahman, who revealed in his speech to Al-Ghad channel that thousands of Tunisian nationals had been pushed by Turkey as part of the groups of terrorist and mercenary elements who were sent by Turkey to fight in Libya.

Abdel Rahman added that Tunisian jihadists started their journey back to Libya since last October, and that 2500 of these fighters went to Libya in several batches through the Turkish lands.

He pointed out that 16,100 Syrian mercenaries, including 340 children, were forced by Turkey to fight in Libya with financial inducements, taking advantage of the harsh conditions in Syria, adding that some of them returned after the end of their contract and received their financial dues.

In addition, there are 10.000 jihadists of Arab nationalities, most of them from North Africa, who have reached Libyan territory to fight there.

These developments come a few days after similar reports were published by the observatory saying that Turkey had sent a new batch of fighters to Libya, despite international warnings about the violations committed by Ankara in Libya and its implications for the security and stability of the Libyan territories as well as the region as a whole.
