Sudanese forces positioned near Libya as talks of mercenaries from all over the world increase

The Member of the Sovereign Council in Sudan, Lieutenant General Yasser Al-Atta, revealed an agreement between the Libyan and the Sudanese sides to form joint forces to protect borders, but the Libyan forces withdrew due to the security situation, while the Sudanese forces continued to work to protect the borders.

He stressed that the Sudanese forces are form “the army and rapid support” and are able to protect the borders, saying there are battalions ready to move at any time toward the border as well.

Al-Atta indicated in an interview with Al-Arabiya that what is happening in Libya is very unfortunate and that its effects, repercussions and threats are affecting all neighboring countries.

Responding to reports of the presence of foreign fighters on Libyan soil, Al-Atta confirmed the presence of factions, militias, mercenaries and official groups from all parts of the world fighting in Libya.

On the involvement of some Sudanese in the Libyan conflict, Al-Atta said that they are not mercenaries because they have been in Libya since the Gaddafi era to carry out attacks on the Sudanese soil.
