Al-Sarraj and accompanying delegation on an unannounced visit in Turkey

218News has learned from its sources that the Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, arrived in Turkey on Wednesday evening, heading a Libyan delegation, on an unannounced visit.

The sources said that the delegation includes the head of the High Council of State Khalid Al-M8shri, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Al-Siddiq Al-Kabir, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanalla, and the Head of the Audit Bureau, Khalid Shakshak. The Libyan delegation is scheduled to hold several important meetings with Turkish officials.

This visit came two days after the visit of the Minister of Interior of the Government of National Accord Fathi Bashagha, to the Turkish capital, Ankara, where he discussed with the Turkish Minister of Defense Hulusi Akar, the prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries, as well as reviewed developments in Libya.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense stated that Akar also received the Maltese Minister of Interior and then held a tripartite meeting at the ministry headquarters in Ankara, preceded by two bilateral meetings of Akar with both ministers.
