Al-Mismari: Turkey’s intervention in Libya threatens EU’s security

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, affirmed that Turkey’s control of approximately 2000 km south of Europe would constitute a real threat to European security and navigation in the Mediterranean.

Al-M8smari said in a statement to Al-Shorouk newspaper that the Turkish military in Libya has between 2500 to 3000 members managing the battle to invade Libya, noting that the Egyptian army is now ready to deter the Turks anywhere, whether in the Mediterranean or on Libyan territory.

On the 5+5 military talks, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari said that the UN mission did not announce any news about the talks, explaining that the team representing the General Command did not give them any details.

He stressed that the General Command has set very important conditions regarding these talks, namely the departure of Turks and foreign mercenaries, disbanding militias and the fight against terrorism, as well as the removal of Turkish President Erdogan from the Libyan scene completely.
