Libya doesn’t have coronavirus detection devices, Najjar says

The Director General of the National Center for Disease Control, Dr. Badr Al-Din Al-Najjar, the Under-Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health in the Government of National Accord, Muhammad Haytham Issa, and the Chairman of the Coronavirus Control Committee, Khalifa Al-Bakoush, urgently called for the provision of DNA corrosion recovery operation devices.

Al-Najjar pointed out that the devices had completely run out of the center’s public health laboratories, which led to a complete cessation of virus detection tests.

On Monday, the National Center for Disease Control recorded a new epidemiological development, recording 226 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 4,063 cases, including 3,345 active ones.

Libya is witnessing a worsening of the epidemiological situation throughout the country, an increase in cases of coronavirus infection, including moderate and critical cases, and a marked increase in the number of deaths.
