Turkey is using brokers to recruit Syrians to fight in Libya, SOHR says

Turkey continues to implement its own agenda in Libya by supporting the militants under the umbrella of the Government of National Accord, taking advantage of the government’s international recognition card, pushing Syrian mercenaries to frontlines.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, in its latest report on Libya, said that the pro-Turkish factions in Syria are continuing to recruit hundreds of young men with the aim of transporting them to the fighting fronts in Libya to confront the National Army, which is still in control on the Sirte, Al-Jufra line that it drew at the beginning of last June, and the line is still holding until now.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights mentioned in its latest report that the Turkish regime headed by Recep Tayyip Erdogan is cooperating with brokers, one of whom gets between 100 and 300 dollars in exchange for persuading each fighter to go to Libya, adding that the brokers persuade men and youth from the camps, in addition to the fighters going to Libya to fight under the Turkish leadership in exchange for huge sums of money.

This Turkish move is not new, as it is constantly taking place in a scene that reinforces the violation of all UN decisions calling for Libya to spare war and to stop sending fighters and weapons, as it does not care about what happened in Berlin on January 17th and about its outcomes that were adopted by countries involved in the Libyan conflict.
