Italian newspaper: Russian plane transferred Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi from Zintan to Moscow

Italian Corriere della Sera newspaper revealed that a Russian plane transported Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi from the city of Zintan to Moscow for what it described as private meetings.

According to the Italian newspaper, Putin is still strongly attracted to what it called “old Gaddafi”, and believes that Field Marshal Haftar is too weak to invest politically, and that Moscow no longer supports him, adding that now Moscow is “secretly” supporting Saif Al-Islam.

These developments come after the resumption of dialogue between the House of Representatives and the High Council of State in an attempt to form a unified government.

It is noteworthy that the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court had unanimously agreed last March to accept the case against Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi and to consider it before the court and refused to accept challenges, confirming in a statement that the case was not accepted in the event that the person had been tried before, explaining that when reviewing the Pre-Trial Chamber decision, it did not find any mistakes.
