Retired Turkish General: Al-Sarraj’s resignation shocked Erdogan’s government

A retired Turkish general said he believed that the understandings concluded between the Turkish state, headed by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the Government of National Accord are now (shaky) after Fayez Al-Sarraj’s intention resignation from his post in the coming days.

Retired Turkish General Ahmet Yevuz stressed that the departure of “Al-Sarraj” from the political scene would be tantamount to putting an end to the Turkish presence on Libyan lands.

According to the “Cumhuriyet” newspaper, the retired General said the current developments in Libya are haunting the Turkish authorities to the fullest extent, since the announcement of the imminent resignation of Al-Sarraj.

He added that expectations are difficult in the coming stage because the Turkish side is in a state of anxiety and is waiting for the successor of the “Al-Sarraj”, but what is certain is that the departure of the “Turkey’s man” from the arena may mean the end of the Turkish intervention.
