International Atomic Energy Agency elects Libya as vice-president of its General Conference

The Austrian capital, Vienna, hosted Monday the start of the activities of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency in its sixty-fourth session, in the presence of the member states of the agency – according to the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Accord.

In the morning session, the conference participants chose the president and members of the bureau for the general conference for the next year, so the Kingdom of Morocco was chosen as the president of the conference, and “the State of Libya” was elected as the vice-president for the African continent.

In addition to the general conference, the agency organizes a scientific forum on several axes and issues related to nuclear technology and science.
