The spokesman for the Turkish presidency, Ibrahim Kalin, said that the resignation of Al-Sarraj as the head of the Government of National Accord will not affect the memoranda of understanding signed with the government regarding security and military cooperation and defining areas of maritime authority.
He added that Turkish officials will continue to communicate with Al-Sarraj, and that the decisions regarding the notes are decisions taken by the government, not individuals, and that the Turkish team and representatives of the institutions concerned with these notes are still doing their job in Libya and Turkey.
The spokesman for the Turkish presidency confirmed that the Turkish and Libyan sides are determined to press ahead with cooperation and joint work.
