The Italian newspaper “Aviner” commented on the training provided by Turkish forces to elements of the Coast Guard forces of the Government of National Accord; noting that “the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has obtained in this way the keys to the flow of immigrants to Europe and has become in his hands a powerful weapon for blackmail.”
In the same context, the newspaper “El Manifesto” said, in dealing with the news of the training, under the title “The helm of migrants in Libya is in the hands of Erdogan”: “If the Turks aimed to achieve superiority in the Libyan file and slap the Italians, then they could not have done better than declaring their control over Securing the Libyan coasts, ”referring to hidden Turkish intentions behind these exercises.
The photos, released by the Turkish Defense Ministry hours after the signing of the permanent ceasefire agreement, on Saturday, constituted a public breach of the ceasefire agreement signed Friday in Geneva.
The second point of the terms of the agreement stipulated the freezing of military agreements on training inside Libya, and the exit of training crews.
