218News has obtained a copy of the document declaring the establishment of the “Jews of Libya 1967”, dated July 27, 2020.
The document indicates that the association was founded during a meeting in Rome; as it included leaders of Jews born in Libya and in Italy, which witnessed the approval of the statute of the association.
The presidency of the association’s council was assumed by “Daniel Hayon”, born in Benghazi in 1949, and who nominated lawyer “Ilan Daoud Barda” as his assistant.
The association “Jews of Libya 1967” includes in its membership Angelo “Geno”, Maurice Arbib, Dolly Pedossa, Elio Gabriel, Maimoun Hawi, Elio Teshuba, Jay Vito Arbib, Lilo Naaman, Attia Tino Daboush, in addition to Daoud Freij.
