Democrats and Republicans are highly competing for US Senate

The Democratic and Republican parties competed for control of the US Senate, in more than six close races on Wednesday, and the Republicans managed to maintain their position in several competitions, which seemed to be available to either of them only weeks ago.

Although expectations were that the Democrats would win a majority in the House, they were only able to defeat Republican Senator Corey Gardner in “Colorado”, by the end of polling day, Tuesday, in what was considered a victory quickly undermined by the defeat of Democratic Senator, Doug Jones, Alabama.

Four Republican members of the House, namely, “Johnny Ernst from Iowa, Steve Deans from Montana, Lindsay Graham from South Carolina and John Cornin from Texas”, were able to overcome the challenges of the Democrats, according to the networks and the “Edison” Research Center.

The Republicans won in Kansas when the Republican, Roger Marshall, overthrew democracy, Barbara Bollier.

Senator Susan Collins of the Republican Party, who has long been considered vulnerable to defeat, over Democracy, Sarah Gideon, by several percentage points.

Republican Senator Tom Telles of North Carolina advanced; By a narrow margin over his Democratic opponent, Cal Cunningham, while Democrat Mark Kelly made a major lead over Republican Senator, Martha Maxali, in the Arizona race, which Fox News said “Kelly” won.

In order for the Democrats to win a majority in the Senate, they need to win three Republican seats if the Democratic nominee, Joe Biden, wins the presidency and the Senator, Kamala Harris, wins the vice presidency.

The Republicans currently hold the majority of seats, as they control 53 seats, compared to 47 for the Democrats; But the Democrats ’chances of winning the majority dwindled rapidly with the rolling out of the election results, while they are still expected to maintain control of the 435-seat House of Representatives.

Tuesday’s poll results indicate that control of the Senate may not be immediately clear, given that the final results will not be available for a number of competitions days before, and it may take months in at least one case.
