The head of the European Union mission to Libya, Jose Antonio Sabadell, confirmed that change is coming to Libya, saying that the agreement on the elections on December 24, 2021, Independence Day, provides a platform for the real progress that the Libyan people seek and deserve.
He also stressed the need to continue dialogue and make more progress, despite the efforts of those he called “corrupt parties.”
He indicated that the European Union is ready to continue providing support to Libya, including taking the necessary punitive measures against those who threaten peace and security or obstruct the political path peacefully.
