Libyan oil production bounces back as Covid-19 pressures global demand

Global oil prices decreased at the closure of Friday’s session, after the pressure they were subjectd to due to fears of a global economic recovery in fuel demand; following spread of coronavirus.

Brent crude fell at 11.00 Libyan time, 51 cents, recording 43.02 dollars a barrel, which is the second consecutive decline, and on the other hand, West Texas Intermediate crude fell 66 cents to record 40.46 dollars a barrel.

Oil inventories in the United States increased by 4.3 million barrels last week, compared with an expected decrease of 913 thousand barrels.

Reuters announced Friday that Libya’s oil production has risen to more than 1.2 million barrels per day, which will increase pressure on crude prices.
