Libyans call for excluding judicial authority from sovereign positions

A group of Libyan activists and observers praised the initial agreement written in the roadmap for the preliminary stage of the comprehensive solution, which emphasized the exclusion of the judiciary from the sovereign positions stipulated in Article 15 of the Skhirat Political Agreement.

In a statement, the group called for the judiciary to be excluded from any political or regional quota system that undermines the guarantees of judicial independence, which is a basic guarantee for the citizens and the rule of law and freedom.
