Two Libyans arrested in Malta over kidnap of Lebanese woman

The Maltese police arrested two Libyans after they were accused of kidnapping a 50-year-old Lebanese woman, whom the police found in an apartment in Bouaiba.

The two kidnappers (36 and 43 years) had contacted the son of the Lebanese woman to demand a ransom in exchange for her release. The accused men are due to be charged with kidnapping and other crimes.

The Lebanese woman lives in Msida, central Malta, and after she was kidnapped, she was traced then found in an apartment on the Barnabas-Bouabeh road, where a 22-year-old Maltese woman detained her. The Maltese woman was also arrested.
