Egypt: Sirte-Jufra line calmed conflict in Libya, led to dialogue

The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, confirmed the continuation of consultations and coordination in the Libyan file between President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.

“France supported the outputs of the Military Committee” 5+5 “, Shoukry said in an exclusive interview with the” Final Word “program on” ONETV channel.

He said the Sirte-Al-Jufra line led to calming the situation in Libya and to reviving dialogue among  Libyans.

Shoukry indicated that there is room for France to interact with the outputs of the Military Committee through the Security Council to ensure the implementation of these agreements, in a way that contributes to the stability of Libya.

He stated that the frameworks for the outcomes of the Libyan National Dialogue enjoy legitimacy through what the international community provides on them.
