On the work schedule of the Turkish Minister of Defense during this visit; the source said that “Akar” will visit the Military College in “Al-Hadba” area to attend a military ceremony, after a visit to the Ministry of Defense and Law Enforcement Apparatus in Tripoli.

On several occasions, Akar emphasized the continuation of providing military and security field training to the Government of National Accord, in the context of the agreement concluded with Ankara, in parallel with logistical support and consultations.

Days ago, the Turkish Parliament approved the extension of the tasks of the Turkish forces in Libya for additional 18 months, with the aim of continuing to support the forces of the Government of National Accord.

The Turkish presidency, which is from the Justice and Development Party, the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in Turkey, had asked Parliament to approve the extension of the Turkish military intervention in Libya for a year and a half.

In November of last year, the Turkish Parliament approved the military intervention that shuffled the cards and made the Syrian mercenaries loyal to Ankara pour in by the thousands into Libya to support the armed formations affiliated with the GNA.
