Italian, British Foreign Ministers discuss status quo in Libya

The Libyan file was at the focus of the talks of the Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, with his British counterpart, Boris Johnson.

Conte said, in a tweet, that his phone conversation with “Johnson” dealt with the Libyan file, without specifying the details of that conversation.

Conte had called on his Spanish counterpart, Pedro Sanchez, to contribute to stabilizing Libya.

The pace of international discussions on the Libyan file escalated, coinciding with the continuation of the UN support mission in Libya, conducting political, economic and military dialogues between the two parties to the conflict in Libya.
