The Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, called on the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the President of the UN Security Council, to support the United Nations to hold the presidential and parliamentary elections on the date set next December.
In his letter, Al-Sarraj indicated to the Security Council the need to issue a resolution supporting the holding of elections on time, and granting a mandate to the UN mission to Libya to support and provide the necessary capabilities for it to provide technical and technical assistance, as well as to study the means of insurance necessary to implement this entitlement in all its stages.
In his letter, Al-Sarraj called on the United Nations to provide monitoring during the electoral process until its completion and the approval of the final results.
