Frattini: UN made grave mistakes in Libya in favor of Russia and Turkey

The former Italian foreign minister, Franco Frattini, said that the United Nations Support Mission in Libya and the UN Acting Envoy Stephanie Williams committed grave mistakes in the process that resulted in the formation of a new transitional authority in Geneva, saying the outcomea were for the benefit of Russia and Turkey.

Frattini explained, in a statement to the Italian Nova Agency, that he believed there were important mistakes in preparing for the first round of voting and then in the voting that led to the election of the president of the interim Presidential Council and prime minister, referring to the list of Menfi-Dbeibah.

Frattini said that the first result of the mistakes of the United Nations is the imbalance of the new executive authority towards political Islam, considering that Dbeibah and Menfi are personalities with links to Islamists.
