Source to 218News: Egyptian delegation visits Tripoli to ropen the embassy

218News learned from an informed source that an Egyptian delegation is likely to arrive in the capital, Tripoli, on Monday, on a formal visit.

During the visit, the delegation will discusses arrangements for reopening the Egyptian embassy in Tripoli, a step recently agreed upon between the Egyptian delegation that visited Tripoli at the end of 2020 and officials of the Government of National Accord.

During that visit, the Egyptian delegation promised to reopen the Egyptian embassy and return to work from inside Tripoli as soon as possible, and to organize a series of meetings between experts and specialists in the two countries to achieve that.

Confirming what was reported to “218News”, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the GNA, Mohammad Al-Qiblawi, revealed in statements to “Anadolu Agency” that “the delegation is made up of diplomats and security personnel”.

According to what was mentioned by “Al-Qablawi” on Monday, the delegation will announce the reopening of the Egyptian embassy in Tripoli, indicating that the beginning of its work will be  through consular affairs.
