The President of the Republic of Tunisia, Kais Saied, received the Special Envoy of the United Nations’ Secretary-General to Libya, Jan Kubis.
The Tunisian President congratulated Kubis on assuming his duties in Libya, expressing his country’s readiness to continue providing all the required support to the Libyan people and the Libyan authorities in the next stage.
The UN Special Envoy to Libya also expressed his appreciation to President Saied for his country’s valuable contribution to the peace process led and owned by Libyans, including by hosting the first meeting of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum in November.
Kubis stressed that he was looking forward to more cooperation with Tunisia in order to support the Libyan people in their quest for a stable, prosperous and united Libya.
