Singer Mani kidbapped in Tripoli after a concert on 10th February 17 revolution anniversary

An armed group in Tripoli has kidnapped young singer Ramadan Salem Bel-Raheem, known as “Mani Iglesias”.

The singer was taken to an unknown destination, hours after he was signing at a concert in the Martyrs Square in the capital, Tripoli, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the February 17 revolution.

The news of the singer’s kidnapping sparked widespread anger among Libyans, amid human rights demands for the necessity of revealing his whereabouts, speeding his release, and stopping the crimes of enforced disappearance.
