The Head of the National Government of Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, affirmed the integrity of the process in which the new authority was chosen represented in the Presidential Council, as well as the presidency of the Government of National Unity, which was conducted with complete transparency.
In a statement by the government’s media office regarding attempts to obstruct the progress made in the process of granting confidence to the Government of National Unity, Dbeibah assured all the members of the Libyan nation that the completion of the first phase of the road map through the process of granting confidence to the government has become close and that the stage of living in light of political and institutional division and absence of services as well as poor economic conditions are nearing an end.
The government media office statement indicated, “Attempts to disrupt the government formation process, spoil the state of national consensus and disrupt the process of granting confidence to the government by adopting the approach of spreading rumors and false news as well as changing facts, an approach that the Libyan people have already suffered and caused a large part of their suffering as a result of what leads to conflicts, divisions and wars.”
The head of the new government also stressed that the Presidency of the National Unity Government looks forward to fulfilling its pledges and obligations towards the Libyan people so that it will be a government that represents all Libyans and preserves their dignity and rights inside and outside the country.
The government statement added, “Dbeibah relies on the awareness and culture of the Libyan people and their understanding of the extent of the challenges and obstacles placed before the process of unifying institutions and achieving reconciliation to push for the success of this difficult political stage.”
