Syrian coalition denies sending fighters to Libya

The head of the Syrian opposition coalition, Nasr al-Hariri, denied that the “Syrian National Army” and the coalition had sent fighters to Libya.

Hariri’s denial comes after the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights made it clear a few days ago that Libya is witnessing the presence of “mercenaries” who hold Syrian nationality on its territory, despite the passage of about a full month since the deadline for the withdrawal of “foreign forces” from it expired,

Earlier, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed that Libya was witnessing the presence of “mercenaries” of the Syrian nationality holders on its territory, despite the passage of about a full month since the deadline for the withdrawal of foreign “mercenary” forces, which emerged from the ceasefire that was signed on the 23rd of last October by the 5 + 5 Joint Military Commission under the auspices of the United Nations.

By the agreement, all foreign fighters were supposed to leave Libya within a maximum period of 3 months since the start of the ceasefire agreement and the period ended on January 23.

The Syrian Observatory confirmed that there are continuing recruitment operations inside Syria in order to send fighters to the Libyan territories.
