The Public Prosecutor’s Office summoned the Minister of Health, members of the Scientific Advisory Committee to Combat the Coronavirus Pandemic, and the Director General of the National Center for Disease Control, to listen to their testimonies.
The Attorney General’s office stated that it is following the decision of the Head of the Presidential Council No.94 of 2021 issued on 4/2/2012 to form a multi-sector committee to oversee the executive plan to give vaccinations contracted with the “Kovacs complex in cooperation” with UNICEF, which is supposed to arrive at the end of the week.
The Investigation Department of the Attorney General’s Office added that it is following up the work of the commitee for the purchase and supply of the remaining quantities of the Covid-19 vaccines, which will study the existing offers within 48 hours and refer them to the competent authorities to complete the procedures.
The Investigation Department confirmed that it would pursue anyone who neglected or failed to accomplish the required work.
