Menfi arrives in Egypt on first official Arab world visit

In his first visit on the Arab level since the Presidential Council of the Government of National Unity assumed power temporarily to lead the country; the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammad Menfi, and his deputy, Abdullah Al-Lafi, arrived in Egypt.

The Prime Minister of the interim Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, had gone to Cairo, on the first official visit since the formation of the new Libyan government.

The Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, received “Dbeibah” at the Federal Palace in the capital, Cairo.

The Libyan Prime Minister said that the two countries’relations are of a strategic nature, and that Libya will be keen to benefit from the Egyptian expertise in the next phase.

Al-Sisi received Menfi and his deputy in Cairo, where the officials will hold talks with the most prominent Egyptian officials.
