Tunisia briefs Libya on its efforts to halt Israeli attacks on Palestinians

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad, Othman Al-Jarandi, made a call Sunday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity, Najla Al-Mangoush within the framework of coordinating the positions of the two countries in support of the Palestinian cause.

Al-Jarandi revealed the efforts made by Tunisia, based on its non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council in order to put an end to the crimes committed by the occupation forces against the Palestinians.

The Tunisian minister affirmed that his country seeks to compel the occupation forces to abide by the decisions of international legitimacy, and to appeal to the international community, to quickly intervene to protect the Palestinians and end the Israeli military attacks, and to curb the expansion plans that undermine the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

The two sides also discussed developments in joint relations, and how to push them forward in all fields.

“Al-Jarandi and Al-Mangoush” appreciated the decision of TunisAir to resume its flights to “Mitiga” airport in Tripoli and “Benina” airport in Benghazi, especially since TunisAir is the first foreign airline to take this step.

The two ministers stressed the need for continued communication to ensure the implementation of the upcoming bilateral entitlements, on top of which is the organization of the preparatory committee meeting of the “Libyan-Tunisian” joint supreme committee at the level of the foreign ministers of the two countries in the near future.
