Minniti: Dbeibah’s government failure could open door for partition

The former Italian Minister of the Interior, Marco Minniti, considered that the course of the situation in Libya represents a decisive challenge for Italy and Europe, warning against the failure of the Dabaiba government.

In an article published by El Folio newspaper, Minniti stressed that Libya can play an essential part in European interests, noting that African issues such as energy, terrorism and demographic growth are clearly visible in Libya.

Minniti believed that the Dabaiba government should build a security and defense system that transcends the role of armed groups, provided that it finds a firm commitment on the part of Europe, pointing out that its failure will open the door to dividing Libya into Turkish and Russian spheres of influence, which represents a setback for all.
