US calls for release of activist Mansour Atti

The United States demanded the release of the director of the Red Crescent branch in Ajdabiya, Mansour Atti Al-Maghrabi.

The US embassy indicated that it joins its voice with the voice of the UN mission in Libya, in calling for his immediate release.

Contact was lost with the head of the Libyan Red Crescent Society, the Ajdabiya branch, the head of the Ajdabiya Civil Society Commission, Mansour Atti, since Thursday evening.

Activists on social media circulated information saying the last place “Mansour” was seen was near the “Orbit” store, and the intersection of Tripoli Street in the city of Ajdabiya.

The civil activist worked as a producer for the third part of “Shatt al-Hurriya 3”, which was broadcast on “218 TV”, during the last month of Ramadan.

Mansour Atti held several positions in the administration of institutions concerned with civil work in Libya, and was known for his activity and mastery of his work.
