The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, reiterated his commitment to national sovereignty and the expulsion of all foreign fighters and mercenaries from the country.
This came during a meeting with members of the High Committee of the Libyan Stability Forum, which included members representing 13 electoral districts, where he discussed with them support for the current roadmap that leads to the December 24 elections of this year.
Menfi stressed the importance of conducting a true national reconciliation among Libyans, unifying all state institutions, supporting the ceasefire and following up on the work of the 5+5 Joint Military Commission.
According to a statement by the Menfi’s Media Office, the members of the commission indicated the need to support the project of the National Reconciliation Commission to bring the parties together and reunite the people of the same country.
