The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) condemned the terrorist attack that took place on June 6 in Sabha and was claimed by ISIS, which resulted in the killing of a number of military officers and the injury of others.
The Special Envoy of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Jan Kubis, expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
“This incident is a strong reminder that the high rate of movement of armed groups and terrorists only increases the risks of instability and security in Libya and the region,” Kubis stressed.
