The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, demanded the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdel Hamid Dabaiba; to expedite the nomination of the Minister of Defense without delay.
The Head of the Presidential Council sent a letter to the Prime Minister, inviting him to attend a meeting, which he described as “important,” to be held next Sunday to consult on the issue of appointing the Minister of Defense, and to settle the matter once and for all.
The Presidential Council, in its letter to the Prime Minister, threatened to take the decision to name the Minister of Defense and refer him directly to the House of Representatives for a vote, in case he was absent from the meeting that will be held for this purpose next Sunday.
