Libya, Tunisia agree to raise alert against spread of Coronavirus

The Minister of Health of the Government of National Unity, Dr. Ali Muhammad Al-Zanati, accompanied by the Director General of the National Center for Disease Control, Dr. Badr Al-Din Bashir Al-Najjar and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, visited the Ras Jedir crossing to see the progress of work at the port, due to the spread of the Coronavirus in Tunisia.

A meeting was held at Diwaniyah headquarters in Tunisia, in the presence of the Tunisian Minister of Health and the governor of the southern region of the Republic.

The two sides agreed to raise the level of precautionary and preventive measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus and to review the precautionary measures followed by the Tunisian and Libyan sides for travelers. Actions can be taken to eliminate this virus.

On the sidelines of the visit, the Minister of Health, Dr. Ali Muhammad Al-Zanati, and the Director General of the National Center for Disease Control paid an inspection visit to the International Health Supervision Office of the National Center to determine the level of readiness of the office. The Minister of Health also handed over an equipped ambulance to the International Health Supervision Office at the border.
