Turkey replaces old mercenaries with newcomers in Libya

The director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Rami Abdel Rahman, revealed Turkey’s intention to conduct a replacement operation for a number of Syrian mercenaries loyal to it in Libya.

Abdel Rahman confirmed in press statements that about 150 Syrian mercenaries are preparing to move to Libya from Turkey, noting that what is happening is a replacement process with the departure of a number of them to their country and bringing others.

He also pointed out that their salaries decreased to 500 US dollars after Ankara gave them about 2000 dollars in exchange for guarding Turkish points in Libya, indicating that the coming period will witness a human reservoir of mercenaries participating in Afghanistan.
