Libyan Foreign Ministry warns of fake news about appointments and resignations

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has warned against the spread of many malicious rumors about the ministry, through social media.

The ministry said that it had recently noticed the spread of rumors on social media about the issuance of decisions to appoint advisers in Libyan embassies, in addition to the Minister of Foreign Affairs submitting her resignation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation added: “This news has nothing to do with the truth, and it aims to disrupt the work of the Ministry.”

She called on all media outlets to investigate credibility and objectivity and to verify official sources before publishing or circulating news.
