A source revealed to 218News the background of the decision issued by the Military Prosecutor’s Office to arrest Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi.

The source spoke of great pressures exerted on the Military Prosecutor, Mohamed Gharouda, by the Head of the High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mashri, to issue the decision.

Gharouda was pressured by officials affiliated with Muslim Brotherhood in Libya, while the source described the Head of the High Council of State as the “first actor” to issue this decision.

On August 5, the Military Prosecutor issued a decision to arrest Seif Gaddafi in the case of murders committed by Russian mercenaries in the Tripoli war, according to the text of the arrest book.
