Calm inside Al-Wattia and Mitiga air bases

An informed source confirmed to “218News” that the movement inside “Al-Wattia” and “Mitiga” air bases; has been quiet for the last 48 hours.

This comes in the wake of news of operations, supervised by Turkey, to transfer mercenaries and military equipment between the two bases.

The informed source denied that, in the last two days, the Turkish operations room had carried out transfers of Syrian weapons or mercenaries between Al-Wattia, in the southwest, and Mitiga, in Tripoli.

The Turkish operations room had carried out transfers of military equipment, three days ago, from inside “Mitiga” base, in a movement that an informed source told “218News” had not occurred since the period of the battles that the National Army was fighting in Tripoli against the armed formations.

It should be noted that Turkey is accused of transferring terrorist elements from Tunisia to the Al-Wattia air base at the same time that the 5+5 Joint Military Commission demands the exit of all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya, and the suspension of the agreement signed by the former Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, with Turkey.
