Sanalla refutes Oil Minister’s accusations, asks him to support NOC

The Head of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanalla, rejected the decision of the Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, to dismiss him and refer him to the investigation committee, considering the latter’s allegations misleading and the result of personal enmity since 2011.

Sanalla added, in a recorded speech broadcast on the NOC official page on “Facebook” that the NOC board of directors is a legitimate body that runs a well-established institution that is more than 53 years old, expressing his astonishment at the presence of the Ministry of Oil and Gas, which turned into a demolition pick, according to He described it, and its president accused Aoun of trying to shake the stable legal and financial position of the institution, which stood at the same distance from everyone and withstood the challenges.

At the conclusion of his speech, he called “Sana Allah” “Aoun”; To arbitrate the language of reason and work together with the institution, which suffers, according to data reviewed by “Sana Allah” from the obsolescence of the productive fields, the lack of spare parts, and the lack of sufficient funding, in light of the lack of adoption of the budget; Which threatens production, which has fallen by 40 thousand barrels; To record one million and 260 thousand barrels per day.

It is worth noting that a sharp dispute erupted between the Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, and the head of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanalla, over demands to restructure the oil corporation. Which prompted the government to invite them to a joint meeting, in an attempt to put an end to the dispute that threatens the oil industry in the country.
