Oun urges Dbeibah to put Sanalla under investigation

The Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Oun, called on Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Dabaiba; Withdrawing the decisions issued by the head of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanalla, regarding the restructuring of three boards of directors of state-owned oil companies due to their violation of laws.

Oun described the decisions to reconstitute the boards of the Arabian Gulf Oil Company, the Mediterranean Oil Services Company, and Al-Jawabi Real Estate Investments Company, issued last week; as violation of the provisions and legislation in force. He pointed out that Sanalla tried to place an illegal bond.

The Minister of Oil and Gas stressed the need to refer Sanalla for investigation to decide on these legal violations, explaining that issuing this type of decision; requires the approval of the members of the NOC Board of Directors, and the necessity of adopting it in the meetings of the Council of Ministers as a whole, and not by the Prime Minister alone.
