The Minister of Local Government, Badr Al-Din Al-Toumi, issued a decision to inflict the penalty of censure on Tawergha municipal member Mustafa Grima, while returning him to his previous work.
The decision, which was issued on Wednesday, stipulated that Grima would be punished with the penalty of censure as a result of the violations attributed to him, according to the second report of the investigation committee with the mayors and members of the municipal councils in the ministry.
It is reported that the Ministry of Local Government arrested Grima and referred him to an investigation committee; against the background of his inclusion on his personal account on Facebook, he criticized Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, due to the inflated expenditures of his government, warning of the effects of this on the financial reserves of the Libyan state, which sparked widespread criticism and fears of restrictions on freedom of expression.
