Libya signs cooperation agreement with Italy to boost development

The Libyan and Italian Ministries of Agriculture and Local Government, along with the Mediterranean Institute of Agricultural Sciences in Italy, signed a cooperation agreement aimed at supporting spatial development projects and enhancing food security in Libya.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Vice President of the Presidential Council, Mossa Al-Koni, the Italian Ambassador to Libya, and the Director of the Italian Institute.

The attendees discussed mechanisms for promoting spatial development projects in the southern regions, and ways to activate joint treaties, in addition to supporting the economic empowerment of Libyan youth.

For his part, the Italian ambassador stressed the need to enhance cooperation between the two parties, pledging to provide scholarships and training in the fields of agriculture and development.
