During his meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the sidelines of the COMESA summit, the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, affirmed his keenness to consult with the Egyptian side in order to hold the elections in Libya on the scheduled date on December 24.
For his part, Al-Sisi reiterated his country’s full support for the political process to settle the Libyan crisis, and its keenness to coordinate with the Libyan side during the current period in this regard.
According to the Egyptian presidential spokesman, Al-Sisi said that Egypt’s main goal in Libya is to achieve peace and stability, preserve the unity of Libyan territories and end foreign interference.
