Libyan Interior Ministry increases security cooperation with Interpol

The Ministry of Interior discussed with the International Police (Interpol), ways for the cadres of the Libyan Ministry of Interior to benefit from the projects and initiatives organized by the International Police, and to learn about work mechanisms and exchange of experiences between the two sides.

This came during a meeting held in Lyon, France, on 2-3 December, which included the head of the Arab and International Criminal Police Office, Adel Al-Sharawi, the head of the Information Division, Jawhar Al-Fitouri, the Interpol Sub-Directorate for the Middle East and North Africa, and some international partners.

In a statement, the ministry confirmed the continuation of security cooperation with the International Police, and the agreement to establish a mechanism for building police capabilities and logistical support.
