IOM says no interception and return of immigrants off Libyan coast has been done in a week

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) office said that from November 28 to December 4, no migrants were rescued or intercepted at sea and returned to Libya.

The recorded number of returnees to Libya from the sea since the beginning of 2021 remains unchanged at 30,990 returnees, in addition to 506 deaths, and 807 missing.

These numbers are relatively high compared to the same period last year 2020, when the number of hostiles reached 11,891, while 381 deaths were recorded, and 597 were missing.
