Toronto University denies that Dbeibeh has obtained a certificate from its faculties

The administration of the Canadian University of Toronto said that the Libyan Prime Minister, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, was not a student at the University before, and he did not obtain a doctorate in civil engineering from it in 1992, as he claims.

This comes after accusations by Libyan activists on social networking sites that questioned Dabaiba’s doctorate, which prompted the University of Toronto to search its archives for any documents related to him.

The university’s response sparked great controversy among Libyans on social media, especially that the electoral law requires the candidate to obtain a university qualification at least from an accredited university, and Dabaiba attached to his candidacy the certificate that was denied by the University of Toronto.
