The United Nations Humanitarian Response Team decided to extend the current humanitarian response plan for an additional five months, until the end of May 2022.
According to the team, more than 1.3 million people are in need of assistance, 451,000 of whom have been identified for targeted humanitarian assistance through the Libya Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP).
The response aims to reach vulnerable people, who have been assessed as having the most dire needs due to the partial or total breakdown of living standards and basic services, and the prevalence of physical and mental damage.
